We LOVE agility, it is the most amazing sport to play with your best friend, to work as a team, to read each other and understand one another is just the best feeling in the world.
Our lovely friend Linda from Haggie Snaps Photography captured this moment from the weekend with myself and Dibs, and it got me thinking, what amazing foundation skills our dogs must have before we even think about the sexy stuff on course.
This image captures hours and hours of training together to have the trust that in this moment when the lead comes off, she chooses to stay with me and play the game of agility. There are so many distractions competing for her attention, people, dogs close by waiting their turn, dogs running a course, BIRDS!, friends, photographers... the list goes on.
I love this photo because it represents how far we have travelled as a team, the anticipation of 30 seconds of fun about to happen and TRUST, in each other and in the hours of training together.
We step up to the start line together, bonded in that moment of excitement where the possibilities of fun are endless.
